NamUs says Sung was last seen after work on Thursday, June 18, 2015, and is believed to have left home for her daily morning walk on Friday, June 19. According to the record, all of her personal belongings remained at home. 1

Some details differ in contemporary and later news accounts. WBRC reported in 2015 that Sung had been missing from the Longmeadow subdivision since Thursday, June 18, and that her roommate said she left for her normal walk at about 5:30 a.m. but left her keys behind. 3 ABC 33/40 reported in 2026 that Sung lived with her sister in Longmeadow and disappeared while on her usual morning walk on June 18. That account said her sister became concerned when Sung did not return and contacted police. 2

ABC 33/40 quoted Trussville police Capt. Jeff Bridges as saying on June 22, 2015, that Sung left her cellphone at the residence and took nothing other than her house key. He said her clothing was uncertain except for a large floppy hat she wore while walking, and that she had no known health problems. 2 The competing reports about whether Sung took or left her keys have not been reconciled in the supplied sources.
